Jonathan’s kitchen has always been one of my favorite places to eat. They have always outdone themselves. Every passing day they have proved their finesse over food and they are one of the best in the business. Jonathan’s kitchen makes sure you have a culinary experience of a kind and will never let you down. Last year when they revamped, I was bowled. They had beautifully put together a well-thought menu and made a huge buzz around the city. But again this year, Raashid and Chef Vijay Bhasker have taken up the job to throw us into another gastronomic journey of a kind. We were invited for the launch of their new menu, and I must say I was excited to taste and went insane over the flavors, they have put together in their dishes
We started with the Cheese Sambousek (deep fried cheese crispy bites), Khumb Ke Galouti (minced assorted mushrooms) and Fried Tortellini. All the dishes were wonderful and set the right tone for the session. The Fried Tortellini had mushrooms and it felt as if it was meat. It just blew me away, the minced mushroom was just so flavorful. There was also Soft Shell Crabs, Oshinako Mari, to give the feel of perfect appetizers and was the perfect accompaniment to the drinks from the bar.
For the mains, we had Tuna Tar Tara a refreshing summer extravaganza, which was terrific. The other one was Chateaobri, a tenderloin with mushroom cream sauce. It was brilliant too and had the correct balance of flavors.
Our meal ended with some delectable desserts. There was Praline Ganache Cake and Banana Crepes to give me sweet coma. Both of them were the perfect end to the session. It was a wonderful session and I would really like to thank Rashid, for this beautiful day.
Give them a visit, it’s worth it.
